Christ... At the age of 38, former teen heartthrob turned drug addict Corey Haim is dead. There aren't any details yet about the cause of death, but we're thinking he pulled a Heath Ledger, but likely with more cocaine and pills involved.

Radar is reporting he was still conscious when paramedics arrived at his apartment, but he was complaining of flu-like symptoms. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3:30 a.m.

You may recall what a mess he was on The Two Coreys, which stopped shooting after two seasons because his friend Corey Feldman insisted Haim needed to get back to rehab. Anyway. Sad. [NYT]

Snoozeflash: Sean Hayes Comes Out of the Closet

And, in a headline that only an Advocate editor could love, Sean Hayes, who was once on a successful TV series almost a decade ago (what was it called?), has finally come out of the fucking closet. Is this news? Not really. Sean wanted to be private when he was still famous enough to snag a People cover, but now that he's got a nice nest egg of residuals and Hollywood's completely typecast him as a gay, he's finally decided enough is enough.

For the record, part of the reason he took his sweet-ass time, he says, was because he was so pissed at how The Advocate taunted him six years ago about coming out.

“I feel like I’ve contributed monumentally to the success of the gay movement in America, and if anyone wants to argue that, I’m open to it. You’re welcome, Advocate.”

“That was my beef about it. What more do you want me to do? Do you want me to stand on a float? And then what? It’s never enough...That’s the thing about celebrity: It sets you up to fail because the expectation is so high of what’s needed, what’s wanted from you that the second you don’t [meet it], you disappoint people.”

And really, Advocate? Is this your idea of justifying your ongoing existence?

What the shit? Farrah gets left out of the death montage for 2009, which was THE YEAR OF DEATH? Sure, people die every year, but some major stars died this year, and we have no way of understanding why the Academy should decide to ignore one of the biggest icons to die this past year. Really, Academy? You include some random PR asshole and not Farrah? Nice.
